Josh talks Gloss

Four tubes of gloss on a table with a colourful background - Josh Wood Hair Colour Expert

Shade Shot Gloss is a semi-permanent colour AND a treatment, all in one tube. It colours as it conditions, everyone can use it, and it’s super simple to apply. Here, Josh answers some rapid fire questions about the basics of Gloss.

Whether you’re colouring your hair at home or in the salon, there’s a shade shot gloss for you.

How do you use it?

Simple: It goes on clean hair, after a shampoo and a towel dry. While your hair’s still damp, apply Shade Shot Gloss and leave on for up to 20 minutes.

What colours are there?

I’ve created two glosses for dark hair:

*Smoky Brunette: Cools any brunette or darker hair colour down, taking away any unwanted orange or brassy tones.

*Chestnut Brunette: Adds richness, gloss, shine and a lovely warm feel.

I’ve created two glosses for blonde hair:

Champagne Blonde: Adds warmth, vanilla, wheaty, creamy soft tones. Almost re-highlights your hair – by pepping up your highlights.

Icy Blonde: Probably the one people have been asking for the most – which is a very soft icy blonde finish, that takes away any unwanted yellow or brassy tones in blondes.

What colour is right for me?

Always go for a lighter shade. So anyone that has blonde ends, you want to be using a blonde product. Or anyone who’s a solid brunette or has a rich dark hair colour, use chestnut or smoky.
