'Tis officially the season to shine. Our Atelier expert's have given us their edit of the perfect party looks to rock around the Christmas Tree, here modelled by our community. 'The ultimate hair accessory is a glossy healthy looking finish, so your hair colour really shines,' says Josh.
To recreate Miya's starry strands, start with a super shiny base. Colourist Veronika used Smoky Brunette Shade Shot Gloss to neutralise any unwanted warmth in Miya's hair.
For the sleek party ponytail, stylist Mason recommends using a volumizing spray to slick down the hair. The aim is for the hair to sit as flat as possible. Style into a ponytail and adorn with your choice of festive clips.
Beaded Bow
Second day hair is the best base for this textured whimsical chignon, says stylist Adam. Firstly, prep the hair by adding some texture with tongs and texturising spray. Then backcomb the crown slightly for an added illusion of height, gently bringing all the hair to the nape of the neck and then tie into a ponytail. Next, pull out some of the ponytail and face framing pieces, like in the picture. Finally, loosely braid the ponytail and pin it in on itself to achieve this effortless chignon. For an extra special touch, finish with a sparkly ribbon.
Bejewelled Beehive
The sky's the limit with this bejewelled beehive. Stylist Nicholas recommends starting with a big bouncy blow dry and then backcombing the hair to your desired height - remember, the bigger the better. Add some shine spray and top off with a show-stopping headband.
Celestial Colour
To ensure your hair shines bright like a diamond, first treat it to a Shade Shot Gloss. Here, Jodie wears Icy Blonde. Stylist Nicholas recommends starting with a classic blow-dry, tonged to achieve 50's Hollywood glamour. Make sure to prep the hair first, the more texture your hair has the better the clips will grip. Placement is key for this star-studded look. On sleeker styles group your accessories together, on curly hair you can be more sporadic with the placement.
Pearls and Curls
For the best curls, stylist Mason recommends first diffusing the hair and then using a small tong or wand to enhance individual curls. Finish with a side of pearl sliders. To make sure your curls are properly cared for treat them to a deep-conditioning treatment. Here, Blanca was prepped with Smoky Brunette Shade Shot Gloss, our semi-permanent treatment which conditions as it colours.
